As part of the Eternal Life Studies, the 7th through 12th grades are called “Fides Immortalis” (Latin) meaning “Faith Eternal Studies.” Fides Immortalis is meant to focus on a phase of development in a young person’s life where “application” or “true ownership” of their faith introduced in the “Children of God and The Christ Studies” and “Faith Studies” will be made strong. The goal of “true ownership” will be enabled by encouraging the student to choose classes they want to attend based on subject (i.e. – Spiritual topics, Bible subjects, Bible books, etc) and providing teachers who are “experts” in the subjects. This approach will challenge teens toward deeper studies at home, being encouraged to share their faith with others, and ensuring they “want” to apply their faith for God. Rather than forcing them into classes because of their age or gender, choosing their own classes is more age appropriate in view of their maturity in life. Ownership and command of subjects by the teachers will allow a strong engagement with students who are “wanting” to grow and apply the Bible in their life. In the end, the students coming out of The Eternal Life Studies curriculum will be equipped, enabled and empowered as a strong servant for God, understanding His Love for all and to live a Christ-like life.
